Situated along the Coast Road it’s the perfect place to stay and explore the local countryside. With Bardsea Beach on the doorstep and Birkrigg Common just a short walk away with its stone circle and Quaker burial ground there is also many other local visitor attractions nearby.

Travel a little further down the Coast Road towards the industrial town of Barrow in Furness and turn off at Rampside roundabout to visit the Lifeboat station at Roa Island or catch a ferry across to Piel and explore the old castle ruins.
In the other direction Ulverston Golf Course in situated in Bardsea village, the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, The Laurel and Hardy Museum in Ulverston, take a walk up to Hoad Monument – the pepperpot on top of the hill or down beside Ulverston’s beautiful canal.
Other local attractions to visit – the award-winning South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Motor Museum, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway and Windermere Lake Cruises, the options are endless!
